Summer Lovin' Havin' a Blast

Alicia Quigley

Celebrate Summer Lovin' with a free book!

The next lyric in this popular song mentions how summer passes so fast. In a way, I suppose that's true. Technically, time passes the same in sunny August as it does in frigid February, but it seems like it goes by faster in the summer.

I'm most definitely a "glass half full" kinda gal, unless it's a good red, in which case I'm a "where's my refill?" woman. :) With that in mind, I prefer to think of how many wonderful days of summer fun we have left, instead of bemoaning the fact that it's almost over.

In an effort to, literally, share the summer love, I'm doing the following promotion for the month of August:

Send me your receipt for my latest book The Contraband Courtship or the first book in that series, A Collector's Item, and I will send you a free copy of any one of my books. Please send to:

"But wait!" I hear some of you saying. "I use Kindle Unlimited. Can I get in on the summer love?"

Absolutely! Instead of a purchase receipt, send me a picture of my book cover on your device (or a screenshot if you read from your computer).

When you send your receipt/screenshot, please tell me which book you would like for free and I'll send it to you.

Enjoy the summer!

Coming Soon: Summer Romance Laced with Intrigue!

Alicia Quigley

Hello all!

I hope your spring is going well. Here in Michigan, it's coming in fits and starts. Two days ago, I was ensconced in comfortable air conditioning as it was in the 80s with grossly high humidity. Yesterday and today, the heat has been on because we're lucky to get out of the 50s. It was in the 30s last night!

The good thing about that is that I'm spending a lot of time writing! My upcoming release The Contraband Courtship will be coming out in June. This tale of romance and intrigue is the second book in The Arlingbys series, and it deals with Malcolm Arlingby, the Earl of Wroxton, the brother of Rowena Arlingby whose romance with the Earl of Brayleigh was the subject of the first book of the series, A Collectors Item.

In that book, Rowena helped solve a murder case a dozen years old, which had resulted in the unjust exile of Malcolm to the Continent when he was falsely accused. In The Contraband Courtship the Earl of Wroxton has returned to his estates for the first time in all those years to find that smugglers are using his property with impunity to move casks from the coast inland.

This is also my first book with a new cover artist. I'm very happy with how the cover turned out!

I'm conducting a reader survey, too. I'd love to hear your opinions on what you're looking for in historical romance novels. If you'd like to take this short, ten-question survey, you can do so here.

In appreciation of your time, you'll be entered into a random drawing. Five readers will receive a free copy of The Contraband Courtship.

Here's hoping your days are filled with romance!

Happy New Year!

Alicia Quigley

Dear Readers,

As 2014 comes to an end, I want to thank all of you for making my first year as an indie author so exciting and rewarding. When I published my first book pair, A Most Amusing Situation (Traditional) and A Duchess Enraged (After Dark) in late February, I had no idea if anyone would read it. Over the course of the year, I’ve been very gratified to learn that many of you read and enjoyed it, as well as the four other stories (in their Traditional and/or After Dark versions) I have released. The success all of you have made of The Yuletide Countess has been an especially wonderful Christmas gift for me this year! I have also learned a great deal from you by reading your reviews of my work. Thank you for taking the time to provide me with feedback; every new book incorporates what I learn from reading reviews of the previous books.

I've spent a lot of 2014 developing new stories, researching historical details, and readying my 2015 releases and I’m looking forward to publishing an After Dark and a Traditional version of a sequel to The Secret Bluestocking/A Lady of Passion in late January/early February of 2015. It tells the story of Letitia, Lady Morgan who appeared in that pair of books, and I think readers will be happy to know that she at last gets her well-deserved HEA. I’m looking forward to another wonderful year in 2015, and wish the same for all of you.

Cover Reveal - "A Yuletide Countess"

Alicia Quigley

Happy Friday, everyone! I'm super excited to show the cover for my newest novella, A Yuletide Countess - Harriet's Traditional Regency Romance! This lovely, sweet story runs concurrently with Isobel & Francis' story in The Secret Bluestocking/A Lady of Passion, but you needn't have read either to enjoy Harriet's story. Although, you'll get a fuller "flavor" if you have read either of those titles before reading Harriet's story.

Harriet is Isobel's cousin and is firmly "on the shelf", as in too old to be marriageable. Content to spend her days keeping Isobel company, Harriet is given the chance to find her own happily ever after. Grab a mug of cocoa, a plate of cookies and enjoy!

A Yuletide Countess releases tomorrow, December 6, on Amazon for Kindle. Priced at 99 cents, this charming story is a great way to escape from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. I hope you enjoy it!
