I hope your spring is going well. Here in Michigan, it's coming in fits and starts. Two days ago, I was ensconced in comfortable air conditioning as it was in the 80s with grossly high humidity. Yesterday and today, the heat has been on because we're lucky to get out of the 50s. It was in the 30s last night!
The good thing about that is that I'm spending a lot of time writing! My upcoming release The Contraband Courtship will be coming out in June. This tale of romance and intrigue is the second book in The Arlingbys series, and it deals with Malcolm Arlingby, the Earl of Wroxton, the brother of Rowena Arlingby whose romance with the Earl of Brayleigh was the subject of the first book of the series, A Collectors Item.
In that book, Rowena helped solve a murder case a dozen years old, which had resulted in the unjust exile of Malcolm to the Continent when he was falsely accused. In The Contraband Courtship the Earl of Wroxton has returned to his estates for the first time in all those years to find that smugglers are using his property with impunity to move casks from the coast inland.
This is also my first book with a new cover artist. I'm very happy with how the cover turned out!
I'm conducting a reader survey, too. I'd love to hear your opinions on what you're looking for in historical romance novels. If you'd like to take this short, ten-question survey, you can do so here.
In appreciation of your time, you'll be entered into a random drawing. Five readers will receive a free copy of The Contraband Courtship.
Here's hoping your days are filled with romance!
